An abstractor compiles all the records, historical and current, pertaining to a certain piece of property and puts together documentation regarding them in an abbreviated form. This is called an abstract.
The Sibley County Recorder's Office offers full abstracting services to the public which includes:
- creating new abstracts
- updating existing abstracts
- performing tract searches
- owners' and encumbrances reports
