The Sibley County Human Services Income Maintenance Unit provides financial support to elderly, disabled and low-income residents of Sibley County. It determines eligibility for public assistance programs such as General Assistance, Minnesota Family Investment Program, Diversionary Work Program, Minnesota Supplemental Aid and Group Residential Housing.
Eligibility for the program(s) is based on the household's income and assets. The amount of monthly benefits is based on income and the number of people in the household.
You may request information for help by mail, phone or in person. If you want more information on any programs offered or if you wish to apply for any of the above programs, you may contact the Agency for an application, download an application, or apply online. Upon receipt of the application, an interview will be scheduled. The initial month's benefits are based on the date the first page of the application is received by the Agency.
